INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Dotly does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All your data (events, habits, habit entries, preferences, and settings) is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account (if iCloud is enabled on your device). Specifically:
- We do NOT collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
- We do NOT collect usage analytics or tracking data
- We do NOT use cookies or similar tracking technologies
- We do NOT share any data with third parties
- We do NOT use advertising SDKs or ad networks
LOCAL DATA STORAGE
All app data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (UserDefaults and App Groups). This data includes:
- Events you create (names, dates, colors)
- Habits you create (names, goals, icons, colors)
- Habit completion entries
- App preferences and settings (theme, accent color, display preferences) This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it using the "Export Backup" feature, which creates a local file that you control.
CALENDAR ACCESS
If you choose to use the "Import from Calendar" feature, the App will request permission to read your iOS Calendar.This access is:
- Only requested when you initiate the import
- Used solely to display your calendar events for you to select which ones to import
- Calendar data is read locally and never transmitted to any external server
- You can revoke this permission at any time in your iPhone Settings
